as good a day as any....

...to finally start this blog I've thought
about for so long...a place to share beautiful things I see and hear and find.

Just a little about me, and then we'll get on
with it. Right now my life is about change - I have a baby bird about to leave
the nest and fly off to college (sniff). I'm looking to move to Brooklyn after
living out on Long Island for 40 years. Just have to take care of some things
first. I have a full-time day job at a non-profit that helps autistic children
and adults and their families. I sell vintage clothing online - mostly on ebay,
but am starting to move some things to etsy. I'm a new photographer who is
OBSESSED with it! I do some wardrobe styling for other local photographers and
LOVE IT. I have wonderful pets and an adorable house. I used to garden. Now I
look at the weed beds and sigh.

That's enough for now. This is sort of a trial post, just to see how to get multiple pictures in...bear with me as my html skills are pretty remedial...so here are some photos in honor of The 4th of July - hope you're enjoying good friends and good times.
