vintage for every body!

If you're a plus-size vintage-lover, there's a magical shop in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn called Re/Dress NYC. It carries large and plus-size vintage, pre-owned, and nwt contemporary items. The owners and shop girls are lovely and ever so helpful...asking in Just the Right Amount, "are you doing alright? can I help you find anything?" and right there when you need to hand off your "nots" from the dressing room (not that you'll have many!).

Today they held a fashion show, modeled by confident and beautiful women. It featured vintage and vintage-reminiscent items, and showed how you can take styles from the past and bring them on trend for today.

I've been trying to get to this store for YEARS, but when you live "way out" in Suffolk County, Long Island, traveling to Brooklyn seems like traveling to another country. Now that I live in Brooklyn, Re/Dress is practically in my backyard and I shall visit it often.

They also *buy* clothing and you can get credit towards future purchases.

Oh, what did *I* get?? A fabulous floaty contemporary boho top and a vintage ethnic print india cotton hippie dippie skirt. Yay :-)
